The family is basically the most important factor in our society. Without the family, our society would not be able to function the way it is supposed to. Ever since the beginning, the family was created so that man would multiply throughout the earth. Man was placed here so that he would rule over the planet. Beside him, the woman was placed so that he may have a companion. Without the other, none of the two is able to subsist, is able to live without the other. Nowadays that theory is being proved wrong, since our society has created a new family structure. This does not mean that the traditional family has gone through some undersized changes, but more intense changes. Not only has it changed, but also at the same time, a new family has been created. Families consisting of gay fathers and lesbian mothers with children growing up in an environment that is very different compared to that of children in a traditional family. There are many types of families now, but the traditional family structure is healthier and more effective than the new sort of family. .
But of course, who am I to say that gay and lesbian families do not function in our society. I imagine that two mothers would do a better job than one, and the case would not change too much when it comes to gay fathers. Families with both parents pertaining to the same sex can still show their children the same love that a traditional family would. For example, my aunt in California is a lesbian. She was married for a couple of years with her first husband with whom she had a male child. A couple of years later she was divorced. For the entire family it seemed as if she would never be able to get married again. Of course, she proved us all wrong. She was united in the year 2000 to another woman. This was a big change for the family, and probably a big change for my cousin, but really it was not. Fortunately, by that time my cousin was already grown up and was able to handle the situation pretty well, since it did not change his way of thinking at all, and kept being the same guy.
