The Matrix: Themes Picked for the Audience

The scripture reads, .
"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?".
Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.".
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not .
revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.".
Here, it is seen that Peter knows inherently who Christ is, like Neo knows it is Morpheus he is talking to on the phone. These situations seem to suggest that the relationships are destined, or happen without the control of the people involved. Jesus has a plan for Peter and similarly Morpheus has a plan for Neo.
As this early scene in the movie unfolds, Morpheus guides Neo to an exit, protecting him from the control of the agents. Neo does what Morpheus tells him to do without knowing why he is doing it. It is this "blind faith" that Neo has in Morpheus that is also seen with Peter and Jesus. The conversation between Neo and Morpheus continues .
Morpheus: I can guide you but you must do exactly as I say.
             Neo: Ok.
(Neo follows Morpheus" instructions and finds himself inside an office.) .
Neo: How do you know all of this?.
Morpheus: We don't have time, Neo. To your left there's a window. .
Go to it Open it. You can use the scaffold to get to the roof.
Neo: No way. No way. This is crazy.
Morpheus: There are two ways out of his building. One is that .
scaffold, the other is in their custody. You take a chance either way. .
             I leave it to you.
Neo's blind faith is evident as he follows Morpheus" instructions on how to get out of the building without having the agents spot him. Neo however, chooses to not go out on the scaffold and therefore doubts what Morpheus (Jesus) had told him. He ends up leaving with the agents. The next day however, he gets a call from Morpheus and once again chooses to listen to him. Altogether this sequence of events shows that Neo, although doubtful in certain instances, is still willing to put him faith in Morpheus.
