The book that I have chosen to read is "A Child Called It." In my opinion this is a very good book. Most books do not catch my attention and I rarely ever finish them. This book was different to me. This one caught my attention as opposed to other books. This book I found very interesting. I would recommend that everyone should read this book. This gives people a different perspective on "life" as they may know it. Most people would not have thought that things like this were happening. But the truth is most people don't want to believe that these things are true. I feel that this book would open the eyes of many people to the seriousness of this issue at hand. This issue is a problem because it will be a continuous problem unless somebody or something does something about it. Child Abuse is a problem that usually comes from their family background. If someone was abused as a child they don't know that it is wrong to do. And they will do the same things to there children and so on. They follow in there parents footsteps. Most kids that suffer from abuse have been convinced that they are a "bad kid" and don't think anything else of it. Like in this book the boy though that from his actions he was being punished. He would just have to work a little faster next time to get a less "harsh" consequence. These kinds of thoughts make a child believe this. They also have a lot of anger inside of them that will so be let out sideways on someone that they might not want to later on in life. Something may trigger an event that happened to them in the past and they might handle it in a way that comes more natural to them. Most people that have been convicted of these sorts of crimes have been treated in a way that is not helpful. Just sending a person to prison is not the answer. There are many programs to help people with these kinds of problems but most infrequently get the kind of help that they really need.
