The first part of the reading was Adolf Hitler's Speech given somewhere in Germany, probably Berlin, or another large city where many people could attend. Hitler was known as a great speaker, and very skilled at improvising at speeches as he went along, therefore I would not be surprised that this speech was written on the same date it was introduced: April 12, 1921. And the other exurb is the 25 Points of the Early Nazi Program written in 1920 by Hitler and his associates who formed the National Socialist Party also written somewhere in Germany. .
Hitler's speech mainly dealt with how the post war treaty was bleeding Germany more than it could withstand. Most of Germanys" production, raw materials, and resources went to France, Britain, and other countries who came out victorious in the Great War. He emphasized that the "bourgeois" in charge of Germany are making it much worse. Talking about how this so called "democracy" is run by Jews who are naturally born with tendencies to corrupt and only to work for their own benefit, Hitler found something or someone for the German people to blame all their problems on, and the incited and combined hatred of an entire race against another race, is one of the most powerful influences for a people to join together. He also emphasizes that the only thing that is keeping Germany from being productive are the Jews. Aside from his Anti-Semitic views, he talked about freedoms that the "Arian" people deserve which they do not have presently have. "Then some one has said: "Since the Revolution the people have gained "Rights." The people governs." Strange! The people have now been ruling three years and no one has in practice once asked its opinion. Treaties were signed which will hold us down for centuries: and who has signed the treaties? The people? No!" The 25 Points of the Nazi program also talk about certain freedoms and certain obligations that all citizens will have, however the only people given these privileges would be German Arians.
