In today's technology crazed world one of the most popular forms of communication is email. In seconds you can literally be in contact with a person half a world away. One of the most widely used programs for email is Microsoft's Outlook Express.
I chose Outlook Express because of the ease of subject matter. There is a wealth of topics a person could choose from to talk about. Almost on a daily basis Outlook Express is being discussed in the computer world because of one reason or another.
I decided to do a report instead of a presentation because Outlook Express is pretty much included with every computer out there. Why would someone go through the trouble of buying another program when a perfectly good one is already available? There are more capable programs out there, but Microsoft's Outlook Express allows you to do almost everything you need.
In Outlook Express it only takes a few steps to set up an email account and you"re off. First thing you have to do is type in a name. Next it will ask what you want your email address to be. After that it will ask for some information about email servers, you"ll be able to get this information from your Internet service provider. Finally it will make you to type in the email alias you chose and a password, then you"re done.
If a person were just starting to use email I would recommend Outlook Express. Even the most computer illiterate among us can be up and emailing in no time. Just be sure to keep up with the updates, else you might find yourself in trouble.
Outlook Express might not be the Cadillac, but it's certainly not the pinto either. With the demographic this program caters too it is plenty capable. If you"re looking for a simple email program you can't go wrong.
