Missouri VS. United States

Compare And Contrast The United States Constitution And The Missouri Constitution.
This paper is going to explain the similarities and difference between the United States Constitution and the Missouri Constitution. Although the United States Constitution is for the whole United States. Missouri has its own constitution. But, even with Missouri's own constitution they still have to abide by the U.S. Constitution.
As you might as well known they both start off the same way. They state that they are a constitution and the year that is was established. But, one says of the State of Missouri, and other says of the United States of America. Then they continue on with the Preamble. Which you can say are basically the same, even though one is older and slightly longer.
Then the Missouri constitution goes into the Bill of Rights. This is were they start to differ. As I stated Missouri's Bill of Rights comes right after the preamble. The U.S. Bill of Rights is in the middle of the document. Also the Missouri Bill of Rights are in thirty-two sections under the first article. While, the U.S. are twenty-seven amendments, but both Bill of Rights serve the same purpose, as the people person freedoms that they can have.
Next, on the Missouri Constitution is Article Two which are the distribution of powers of the government of Missouri. This here explains that the three departments powers of government will have equal but split powers. They did this so that all the three departments of Missouri's government will have the same power; and no one department can be more powerful than the next. The United State Constitution has the same distribution of powers, but what is different about the United States, is they state them in sections under the branches of government in the articles. For example, Article I "The Legislative Department" Section 1. Legislative powers.-All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
