Career Key Tests

I just recently took the Career Key a Professional test to determine which Career (according to the test) that I could possibly do well at. I enjoyed the way the test focused on what I believe to be my best natural abilities; by asking a series of informative questions tuned to my personal likes, tastes, and attributes. While I did like the test I also realize that career tests are a tool used to help you find a better sense, at the types of jobs and activates you are best suited for. But while being a tool it may not always be perfectly accurate and shouldn't be the only resource used in determining your future livelihood. Because of this people need to be careful when interrupting their results. .
Career tests aren't exactly tests at all, since there are no, right or wrong answers. Due to this "misnaming" of the tool, most people try to answer them in a right or wrong state of mind, and aren't being true and honest to them selves; causing inaccurate results from the Career Assessment tool. Career Assessments suggest which profession or direction the tested should pursue they don't on the other hand tell the tested which profession or tested should be pursued which are vastly different. This common misconception causes people to mistake the test for being more than what it really is.
No matter how many or which career assessments you take its purpose isn't to tell you one specific job to pursue, nothing is that powerful. All the career assessment can do is suggest which jobs you may want to do more research about, look at more in depth, and perhaps try. The best way to think about it would be that if there was a test that could tell you exactly which job would be ideal for you wouldn't everyone be taking it?.
After taking the test you should consider the results with a clear and open mind. Career assessments usually offer a list of potential careers that could be a good match for you according to their conclusions based on the answers you provided.
