             A family is people who care, love, and take care of each other and support each other in everything. Even though there may be contradictions in a family. The fact will not change that a family is forever. A family is there for many reasons, however, the father is the most looked up to in the family. As in the book Death of a Salesman, everyone looks to Willy Loman for guidance. He may not be the ideal husband or father, but at least he is always there. Willy is the provider, a role model, and he sets t provider, a role model, and he sets the values.
             Willy Loman represents a lower class man trying to get ahead of where society tells him he should be. However, he works every day of his life for the American dream, which is to succeed. Willy being just like all sons wants to go further than his father did or be on the level of his father. Mr. Loman has worked the last fifteen years just to pay off and own his house. Also, he has works to give his family whatever they need and want for the most part. Willy Loman is a great provider when it comes to providing security for his family. "If old man Wagner was alive I"d a been in charge of New York now! That man was a prince, he was a masterful man. But that boy of his, that Howard, he don't appreciate. When I went north the first time, the Wagner Company didn't know where New England was!"said Willy. (15).
             Mr. Loman is a responsible role model. He can adapt to his wrongs and stay strong on his beliefs. "Apologize to Bernard for me when you see him. I didn't mean to argue with him. He's fine boy. They"re all fine boys, and they"ll end up big-all of them. Someday they"ll all play tennis together. Wish me luck, Charley. He saw Bill Oliver today," said Willy. (98) In this quote you see that he was wrong, nonetheless, he is trying to make it right. .
             Willy set the values for the family, even though they may not always be correct in his own way he thinks he's right.
