Things fall apart

Things Fall Apart is by Chinua Achebe and is about Umofia's culture changing because of the white man. The story takes place in the 1980's in lower Nigerian villages. I am Obeonekanobe I was Oknokwo's neighbor when we were in the Umuofia clan. Our village Umofia is connected with nine other lower Nigerian villages. .
I found Oknokwo a fake as he strived to be totally opposite of his less fortunate father. His father Unoka was poor, weak and lazy. Oknokwo strived to be wealthy, brave, and violent. He was opposed to anything that showed him being soft such as showing emotion. His fault for behaving rashly is for him not to look weak like his father. This haunts him as it brings on a lot of trouble upon his family and himself. His twelve-year-old son Nwoye who he finds lazy gets beat by Oknokwo so he will not turn out like his father.
His father owed a lot of debts up until his death, including to my father. We buried him in the woods so they would not rotten the farm land. Oknokwo had three wives, a hut for each one, and he had eight children. I see Oknokwo struggle as he was not able to function with the changing society. .
There was a death in the village it was my brother who had been killed by a local tribe. In the settlement with the neighboring tribe Oknokwo wins a virgin and a fifteen-year-old boy for the tribe, after talking about going to war if they did not agree. The village puts him in charge of the named Ikemefuna and treats him like a son. Nwoye has a strong relationship with him along with Oknokwo as the boy starts calling Oknokwo father. .
Ikemefuna stays with Oknokwo's family for three years until Ezeudu, a respected villager talks to Oknokwo. Ezeudu informs Oknokwo that Oracle has said that Ikemefuna must be killed. Oknokwo tells Ikemefuna that he is taking him back to his family's village on the way the men with them including me attack the boy. The boy runs to Oknokwo for help, but Oknokwo does not want to look weak in front of his men and kills Ikemefuna.
