Should condoms be distributed among High Schools?

Should Condoms Be Distributed in High Schools?.
In today's society, high schools should distribute condoms to students. It is important to educate teenagers about the use of condoms and how it prevents the spread of HIV, AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and pregnancy. Teenagers need to know that having unprotected sex dangers them to come in contact with diseases that they can spread to others. A normal person can show no side effects of having an STD but can still carry it and infect their partner. Teenagers need to be aware of whom they have sexual contact with and to take precaution and use a condom.
To have condoms available at high schools does not influence teenagers to have sex but shows them that if they are ready to have sex that condoms are always a must. Schools offer condoms not only to inform students on how to use them, but gives them the knowledge on what they are protecting themselves against. In Philadelphia parents must give their child consent and their child must see a health counselor before receiving a condom. Researchers believe that teenage females are engaging in sexual contact with older males outside of school. They think that since older males are not in high school and don't have access to free condoms, that the girls are not protecting themselves by using protection. I strongly believe that it is not always up to a male to provide condoms when having sex because it is both persons responsibility to protect themselves and their partner from anything. .
There are programs that support condom distribution among high schools; they are the traditional HIV prevention program and the Safer Choices program. The Safer Choice program involved students that have had sex with condoms and used many precautions such as the pill to protect against pregnancy. The traditional HIV prevention program students had more unprotected sex with their partners than the students that were in the Safer Choice programs.
