Computer Ethics

This is very wrong because it is plagiarism if the person uses your information and calls it their own. I believe that it is wrong because you have the right to your privacy, hacking completely destroys this ethical belief. .
Plagiarism is when a person takes and uses someone else's information and calls it their own. On the Internet plagiarism is very easy, easier than trying to plagiarize a book. This is because the author of the book has a copyright law. While you can just copy and paste off of the Internet without anyone knowing. This is an ethical issue because plagiarism is lying and lying is definitely ethically wrong by the majority of people's beliefs. My ethical beliefs most definitely include that to lie is wrong simply because of the fact that it can cause a lot of problems. Plagiarism can do the same thing because it is lying. .
Cyber terrorism. A scary thought, right. Well, it happens, some kid who is looking for a laugh starts sending out threatening, obscene or discriminating e-mail's. They may be only some kid's fun or they any be a real threat. The latter is more likely now than it was ten years ago because of what is happening in the middle east. You should treat any of these e-mail's as a real threat against your life, call the police immediately. This is an ethical issue because as I said, your life could possibly be in danger and that is no joke. I believe that this type of terrorism is very wrong and I wish that it could be stopped. .
Identity theft over the Internet is an ethical issue. This is a form of hacking, cyber terrorism and theft as one issue. As I said in my explanation of hacking, going on certain sites etc. will broadcast some of your personal information over the Internet, when the hacker gets this information he could decide to steal all of this information and literally become you. He can possibly acquire bank records, and spend all of your money, leaving you bankrupt with no explanation.
