The movie Seabiscuit was a wonderful movie and was nothing I expected.
definitely a story line that goes beyond than just horses. This movie is very emotional .
and deals with problems ranging from pain and suffering, feelings of loneliness, anger, .
and happiness as well. Toby Meguire did a wonderful job in this movie. It seems as if .
he's been a jockey his whole life. This movie was also very sad at times, I caught .
myself tearing many times throughout the movie. It was so heartbreaking when Red .
was left by his parents at the horse track. From this, his parents were definitely .
uninvolved parents and left him to think of the world in a cognitive perspective. He had .
to learn and adjust to his environment on his own. He also had to face the world with his .
own intelligence, and build the capacity to understand the world rationally and use .
resources effectively when he was faced with challenges. Red also represents .
temperament for when he had so much anger when he entered his first race and fought .
back the other jockey for fouling him. He was not angry at the jockey, but had anger for .
the fact that his parents left him and said they would visit but never did. He held that .
inside for so long and had animosity towards anyone who hurt him. It was also very sad .
when Mr. Howard lost his son and then his wife left him. He was beating himself up for .
not being there for his son and not being a fit parent. This is what Mr. Howard and Red .
had in common, they both had a loss in their life. Although Red's parents did not die, it .
was just like they did because they basically abandoned him and never returned.
Habituation is also something that is portrayed by Red. Red had to get a custom .
to his new life style. After being alone for so long, he lost the feeling of being cared for. .
It was hard for him to feel loved from Mr. and Mrs. Howard at first, but in time he .
accepted and reciprocated the love.
