Marvin had many different stressors and personality traits. Marvin and continues to follow him and try to become part of Dr. Marvin's family.
Throughout the movie Dr. Marvin shows many personality signs of being assertive. In the very beginning of the movie he is always positive with Bob telling him that there is always hope for him to get better. He is also assertive because he not only tries to help Bob, but he gives him ways to try and help himself. Such as how to feel or what to do to make him feel better. Throughout the rest of the movie, Dr. Martin becomes aggressive towards Bob. When Bob continues to call him and follow Dr. Marvin gets mad and has a plan to get Bob away from him. He takes him to a mental hospital. Also at Dr. Marvin's birthday party Bob shows up there and Dr. Marvin sees him put his arm around his sister, Lily, so he goes after Bob.
Dr. Marvin main stressor is defiantly Bob. When Bob finds out that Dr. Marvin is going on a vacation. He doesn't think that he can be without him because he is scared. Because he is scared, he finds a way to get his phone number and address, and calls him at all hours of the day and night. He then goes up to where Dr. Marvin's vacation home is. The reason Dr. Marvin hates this so much is because when Good Morning America finally comes to interview him they see Bob and begin to ask questions. Dr.Marvin is totally upset by this because he barely got a chance to be the star. At the very end of the movie Dr. Marvin finds out that Bob and his sister are going to get married. Dr. Marvin is so upset about the fact that Bob will now be part of the family. The distress that Bob causes actually makes Dr. Marvin becomes the crazy one. .
