            ☻Being Respected for Being Practical.

Based on the story Luke Baldwins Vow.

Uncle Henry is a rough-skinned, brick-colored faced man, who is greatly respected by all he knows and loves, but only one truly understands that respect. The way the sawmill workers, employed by him show him respect is they always are polite and attentive when he speaks to them. Even his wife respected everything he said never arguing against him. She would tell Henrys nephew Luke to try and be like Uncle Henry because hes so wonderfully practical. He takes care of everything in a sensible, easy way. That is what she truly thinks of her husband. Also Lukes father thought Uncle Henry had a lot of great things to teach others and had Luke promise to try and learn things from him since it would be very important for his sons future. Then there is Mr. Kept an old wise man who seamed to have such a perfect understanding of Uncle Henry. He believes in what he says and knows how to be on the same level of thinking as him. Mr. Kept doesnt think Henry is cruel and unfeeling but maybe just a little bit too practical and straightforward. This is a different way of thinking from the other less judicious, since they respect those two characteristics most about Uncle Henry. This is because Mr. Kept knew the true lesson to be learned from the way Uncle Henry lives his life. That lesson is even the most practical people in the world dont always know what is truly valuable in life even though you can still live a respectable life without this attribute. .
