Tuesdays with morrie

Tuesdays with Morrie is a story about how Mitch Albom and his favorite professor in college, Morrie Schwartz crossed paths again. Mitch got so busy with his own life after graduation that he forgot that he once promised his professor that he would always keep in touch. He was so occupied with his accomplishments and with what he could offer the world when one day, he heard his professor's name on television.
Mitch went to Morrie's place when he learned about his condition, and they talked just like the old times. He watched as Morrie's body slowly deteriorated because of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). They met every Tuesday to discuss issues about life, like family, relationships, culture, love and death. Their meetings are what they call their final thesis together. He realized the importance of life and how ones view could change when you know that you"re about to die.
Morrie won't be able to last long because there is no cure for such sickness, but through it all, Mitch stayed with him and did the best he could to make Morrie's remaining time special. His professor was able to touch his emotions and was able to draw out the best in him. That's why it was so hard for Mitch to let go when it was finally time to say goodbye. Morrie died peacefully, just the way he wanted to and was buried in a serene place.
