A workplace issue

If not respectful and truthful, then a business can expect to be unsuccessful. I have worked in two different businesses where I saw this problem first hand.
             .
There was three different situations in which respect or trust were lacking within the workplaces I use to be in. The first job I had was working under the yellow and blue swirly tents of Cirque du Soleil, selling merchandise, when it made it=s temporary home in St. Petersburg. All the employees for this traveling show were hired quickly with little time before day one of the event. With an application and a quick interview, you were in. This was a huge reason for some of the very disrespectful and untrustworthy people being hired. There were quite a few older workers, who could all be described as lazy. They were very friendly to fellow employees and customers, but when it came down to stocking and cleaning, they were of no help. Most of the workload was piled on the young workers, including me. We struggled and tired out while they watched and did nothing. Because of their disrespect, everyone else suffered. We worked harder, causing us to be exhausted and careless. When all the employees now as a whole were doing less, nothing was done right. At times, shelves were missing items and the items there were unorganized. Another problem encountered here was theft. Some of the merchandise was so valuable that a couple of the employees saw an opportunity to make their own money on the side. This would be an example of trust; you can=t trust anyone who can take something that was not earned or given to them. It also hurts the business greatly. At my second job, selling merchandise at Tropicana Field for the Devil Rays, I dealt more with lack of respect from employees to the customers. When a person walks into a new atmosphere or environment, he or she will need time to adjust and can=t be expected know all details about the recently discover place.
