Heroin as a Prescription

It can cause severe brain damage or turn a persons body into a complete vegetable. It can cause someone to lose special, loving relationships they've spent their entire life building with a loved one, and one day that relationship is gone forever. And worst of all, this drug can and does kill people just like you and me.
No, heroin is not available as a prescription at the local pharmacy. A hot new street drug called OxyContin is. OxyContin produces the same type of high and has the same toxic and lethal effects on the body as heroin. Oxy is the newly reinvented, highly proclaimed "Hill Billy Heroin" or "Poor Man's Heroin." It is just as great as heroin, but cheaper. What junkie could want more? Heroin as a prescription, exactly!.
In this section of my paper I will introduce OxyContin as a prescription painkiller and tell you about the effects it has on the body when it is abused. OxyContin, also known as: OC, Killers, OXY, Oxycotton, Hill Billy Heroin, or Poor Man's Heroin, was introduced in the early in the early 90's by a college university. It's a prescription painkiller prescribed by doctors to treat pain that is associated with arthritis, lower back conditions, serious injuries, and cancer. Pain relievers or analgesics, such as OxyContin, are either natural or synthetic opioids. They are sometimes called narcotics. Abusing OxyContin is exactly like abusing heroin because their ingredients, such as opioids, are very similar. That is why this certain painkiller is called Hill Billy Heroin or Poor Man's Heroin. OxyContin is highly addictive because it is much easier to get than heroin and much more cheaper. Yes, I did say cheaper, but OxyContin sells on the illegal drug market for up to $100 a pill. This huge amount of money for just one pill sounds incredibly ridiculous to me, but to some addicts of OxyContin and other painkillers, one pill isn't enough, some addicts will do up to 8 to 10 pills a day.
