Wishing that all is well with you and your family and your work. I write to you with the objective to help you improve your parenting skills. All parents only want what is best for their children and should be willing to take suggestions and at least consider them. No one is prepared when it comes to raising children and therefore everyone is prone to make mistakes. .
I know that you are trying your best and doing what you think is right by prohibiting Ophelia to stay in a relationship with Hamlet. But have you considered the unhappiness that this may cause Ophelia? Obviously she is in love with Hamlet and he also loves her back so why hinder their love. Perhaps you are right that hamlet may not marry Ophelia because he is royalty, however if he is so devastated by Ophelia's negligence then maybe his intentions are more than just a diversion. By letting them resolve their own disputes and misunderstandings they shall become a stronger twosome. .
.
Another issue I would like to attend to is the situation in which you have situated your son Laertes. If you want to know what your children are up why not build a confidence in which they shall be able to confide in you. By spying on him you shall only create a sense of distrust and resentment towards you. If you really suspect any foul play than why not confront your son personally. .
.
.
I hope that I have not offended you in any way and that you take into consideration my suggestions. They may not seem proper to you yet they will seem fairer to your children. I know that as a loving parent you will consider my suggestions and become a model parent. .
Sincerely, .
.
