The Mass Media.
The Mass Media is a unique feature of modern society; its development has accompanied an increase in the magnitude and complexity of societal actions and engagements, rapid social change, technological innovation, rising personal income and standard of life and the decline of some traditional forms of control and authority. The media does influence, but using more diverse and subtle roles of impact. Some theorists suggest that it is even a case of society influencing the media and not the more widespread and presumed version. Media is a major piece within society that is often linked to the notion of social influence. Society understands the notion or concept of being influenced as an "external force- (the media) linking itself or connecting with a personal action or viewpoint of the recipient. .
The mass media is a source of information for the people. It is generally accepted as reliable and it is for this reason that it holds a strong influential power. The media is about information and in some form or another, has always existed. In Aboriginal communities sitting around the campfire telling stories and sharing information served some of the same purposes the media fills in our society today .

The Multi -Media of communication.
Multimedia in technical term is the communication technique designed to combine the information conveyed by different media (texts, graphics, photographic, video and audio data) on a single support medium in digital form, thereby making it easy to store, copy or transmit without any loss of quality. Multi-media technology today has made it possible for us to have many ways to access information of any nature or in some sense have some sort of convergence whereby it is possible that we can have several channels of media, incorporated together in a single package so as to entertain several of our senses at the same time.
