The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906

San Francisco, the golden gate city, was a popular city in the 1900's as people lived by the bay in a friendly lifestyle. Some would have even said to you that the city will last forever until that day! On April 18, 1906 a major earthquake hit San Francisco within a one minute span. In this minute many lives were affected as so with others. .
The 18th was an odd day in San Francisco as Laura Pride went to bed at 2am after writing her article for the Chronicle. Suddenly the horses in the stalls starting scrawling and the firemen horse trucks were moving excitedly and grasping for safety. James Hopper who was also heading home from the chronicle started to notice that the sea was losing forces. The way James explains this site is how the city was filling. Father Charles Ramm dogs started barking which was to be believed to be because of the weather. At 5is Leonard Ingham, the visionary patrolman, woke up to realize that his dream came true. Everything he dreamed of woke him up but was realized that it was just a milk truck. The reason we realized this is because the milkman started having trouble steering his horses as they started ranting. Finally as Jesse Cook was heading to the city he was watching his watch and saw that the sky was clear like a pleasant day coming when it happened.(Thomas 65 - 78) This is just some of the warnings that were given but why weren't they taken into action. These warnings were ones which to be said from survivors of this event of 1906. These actions are to be considered warnings but if they warned why the city didn't try to redeem them. The main reason for all this to crumble on their dreams is the education and knowledge of that time. As you grow you learn but back then they did not have all what we have now. This city has fixed this problem by hiring a disaster person and sharing many new ideas for the building structures. .
As the quake hit, John Hooper was trying to catch everything to set up a story left this to say, "Throughout the long quaking.
