Through out my school years I've done, a lot of different class assignments .
dealing with public speaking as to my unfortunate is not one of my best subjects. Every .
year since the beginning of high school there was that one class I had to take that sooner .
or later dealt with a public speaking assignment. I"m planning a career in the HVAC field .
and though it may not plan a whole lot of public speaking I think, will have its .
advantages. Obviously in intro to communications there's bound to be public speaking .
but my base on that is to improve on it and not making an incoherent message to an .
audience's general sense of purpose.
In my freshman year in high school, the dark days I would say. My mother .
wanted me to take drama one I was a bit unsure about taking drama one because I am self.
conscious about grammar and image appearance to send a message out but I just took her.
advice. And to the outcome in that class is, im most likely not going to take another .
drama class because I think I made myself look foolish enough times. For example .
forgetting my lines, nervousness resulting in talking to fast. My sophomore year I took .
marketing in that class, I had to try to sell a made up product and create a commercial by .
video taping ourselves. It wasn't so bad. I just kept my cool but, the creating and .
watching myself for the commercial part I didn't want to see.
For the rest of the two years in my junior and senior year I did a lot of .
Presentations and public speaking in English class for example my junior year I had to.
.
get with a partner and do a debate I played the pro and she played the con I was a bit .
nervous but all in all I think I did well. Also I had to give a presentation of a poem and .
tell the audience it's meaning. In my senior year I had to again try to sell something to .
my audience but this time I just used a poster board for display. Furthermore I had this .
big presentation towards the end of the year I had to look back and tell when I, began .
