Do Parents Tell Children About Their Financial Status?

If I had to give out advice to parents about sharing their financial problems with their children, I would advise that it may not be the best idea. I think as children they don't need to worry about if their electric is going to be on the next day or if they are going to have groceries. I don't think some children fully understand about money so what would be the point in mentioning their problems. Parents should let their children be aware that things in life are definitely expensive and shouldn't take them for granted. I think no matter what your family is classified as, such as middle or low class, they should make sure their know not to leave electric on if they aren't in a room or take long showers because it waste money. Parents should teach their children how to budget money and not to blow it and little things. When I was growing up my mother raised my sister and I by herself, she never mentioned money to us. For all I knew we good life, I didn't have to worry about how my mom was getting by with no help. But, I did know that my mother worked very hard to support us without her mentioning her financial status to us. It made me realize now that I have to work hard in things I want in life and sometimes they aren't the best situations but you will get through them. .
