Trying to shove each other off the road, we were racing for about a couple of minutes, when all of a sudden their car started banging me on the side of my new car that I just got for my birthday I hardly went down town and I didn"t know there was a gas station around the next turn the other car kept banging me on the side so I took a sharp turn and slammed right in to the gas pump, the gas station when up in flames, the next day I went to court and the judge told me " you have 3 weeks community service" , I was upset with the judges penalty because the judge let the other driver of the car get away with a fine of $200
00. I had no choice but to do volunteer work, I was walking down town because I got my license revoked for a couple of days and saw a sign on the window that they were looking for volunteers at St. Frank's hospital for kids. So I thought I would volunteer to make up my community service. So I entered the hospital to get more information when I saw Jennifer in a room 201 , with a kid that had a huge smile on his face a smile that I never seen before as if she was a person that could make fear, pain or depression go away , I walked up to the front desk to get information, as I was leaving Jennifer was walking out of the room, she came up to me and said "your Matthew right" and I told her "yes that's me. Why" she started to giggle, "What would a person like you be doing in a hospital after school?" ", "I"m a volunteer here" she didn"t believe me so I just left. .
The next day in school Jennifer came up to me with a huge cheerful smile and asked me "Are you going the hospital after school today?" , I didn"t want my friends to think I was a dork communicating with one so I told her " you wish!" and she smiled as if she didn"t hear what I said and turned away, at lunch I saw her sitting by her self, I went up to her and told her that I was sorry for acting like a jerk to her, "There's people watching" it sounded like she didn"t want me around "Aren"t you afraid of losing your reputation talking to a dork like me" .
