No one likes to bothered by a long distance telephone company asking if you would like to try them and end up paying more money than necessary. It is really easy to just hang up the telephone or say a few words that would not be heard in a G-Rated movie. Most of us think that the whole goal of a telemarketer is to bother us while we are trying to have dinner. After being on the other end of the phone line and asking people if they would like to try MCI, I realized that people really have an incorrect notion of what the purpose of a telemarketer really is. In reality, a telemarketer is just doing a job similar to the same job you come home from every night. I have learned that we should not treat these people with disrespect, but should listen to what they have to say before we turn it down. .
Working as a sales representative at DELL, has shown me that hard work pays off. The most obvious example of hard work paying off is Michael Dell himself. Michael Dell is a college dropout with the number one computer company in the world. He is evidence that regardless of any obstacles that you may encounter, you can still achieve major success through hard work and determination.
By having the two jobs I described earlier, I feel that I am now able to deal with people in a more effective way. With those skills and with my desire to succeed in life, I will not settle for anything less than success!!!.
