             Chicago is known for the crime, destruction, and gangsters around the city but it's much more than that. There are many churches and religious practices that go on. Also, with different types of nationality there are many types of religions, traditions and practices that happen. There are Family perishes, Catholic parishes, and many more in the area. The city of Chicago is also big on sports especially baseball. Then, there is the music of jazz that you can hear roaring around the streets. With music comes art, where there were many famous drawings, paintings, and cartoons created. There is also political groups and organizations like the "Young Ladies Society", which organized Catholic churches. There are many things to do in Chicago that are changing the world.
             Sports.

             Boxing and baseball were the main sports to grow in Chicago. In the nineteenth century, boxing was fought by bare knuckles and its popularity was very high but then cleaner sports were becoming the new thing to develop leadership, teamwork, and self-sacrifice. Then, there was baseball, which was the first sport to thrive among America. Chicago's first major league baseball team was the White Stocking but the name got changed to the Cubs. Around the time of the Great Depression, the term "sport" was considered someone who gambled, and hung out with friends and at bars. Today the term "sport" means someone who is athletically involved in a team. Despite the different uses for the term sport, it did not stop the growth of new sports teams and clubs in Chicago. In 1920, Chicago's first professional football team is the Chicago Cardinals. Around that time football was becoming the next new popular sport to play, followed by swimming, bowling and softball.
