Our economy is in turmoil dealing with a never ending battle with other countries and with ourselves in the case of debt. We constantly surround ourselves with similar issues and fail as an economy to solve bigger issues. I feel that the time and money used in the area of law enforcement would be better spent solving a problem endangering the communities and the people within it instead of fighting something people look down on because it is immoral and based upon an opinion of being demeaning to women. Prostitution is a reality and cannot be eliminated. Maly states; "I am not making a moral judgment here. I see prostitution as a reality of the modern world. The chances of eliminating it are practically none. Under those circumstances it is better to keep it in check and under control by giving legal frame work. This is not to say that I approve of brothel, but it seems to me that it would be better to have prostitution take place there with medical checkups and prostitutes paying taxes. It would be lesser of two evils" (Vaclav, Malay). Setting rules and or boundaries like you have to be of age can make it right, children under age are most likely forced but people of age are out of our hands. If they need medical attention it is out there.
Although prostitution is illegal, having sex is not. Sex is the same no matter how it is done. Sex is something that is done on a daily basis and the only different is, is that there is a price. There should be no problems with prostitution if a person chooses to live a lifestyle like that. This issue is something that is conducted just some do it for pleasure. If both people are in agreement then why not? There are millions of women that everyday conduct sexual activity. There are men that conduct sexual activity every day. Both sexes conduct this activity with someone that may be the financial support in that family. An American is being able to make your own decisions, mistakes, and being able to conduct their selves in any manner they please.
