Judaism in Israel - Impact and Effects

Even though, parts of Israel are still unable to get pork productions. To the Jews, not only they take the Kosher very seriously, they also put their holidays an important thing to follow in their life.
Jews take their holidays importantly, work is not allowed on national holidays. These holidays include Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur (most holy day of the year), the first and second day of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Shavuot, and the first, second, seventh and eighth day of Passover. The work forbidden on those holidays is also banned on Shabbat, which is the day Jews will go to synagogues since they believe that this is the day where God finished his creation of the world and rest (Christian's Sunday). There are thirty-nine different kinds of activities that are not allowed to be done on holidays for Jews, some of them include planting, cooking/baking, tying/untying, tearing, and writing. Since there are so many things that Jews aren't able to do during their holidays, what happened is that the government sets these days as official holidays of the country. But for Yom Kippur this day is the most special day throughout the whole year. It is a day that the whole country will stop all its work and rest. Afternoon, all businesses through the country will be closed. There would be literally no traffic on the streets other than emergency vehicles. Non-emergency services that normally operate on holidays, such as airports, border crossings, broadcasting stations will take a rest for their work about 28-30 hours. Even though the Jews have lots of holidays, but that won't stop them from being hardworking on their businesses.
Jews are famously known for their success rate on business. Actually, a study from the Pew Forum institute in 2008 found that Jews are the richest religious group in the US and is also known as the third wealthiest religion in the world. There are, of course, reasons for Jews to succeed on business.
