Women and men are allocated to a gender role and we all must act out the masculine or feminine behavior as arranged by our society and our culture. Femininity is usually associated with traits such as emotionality, cautiousness, and inferiority. Masculinity tends to be associated with traits such as reasonableness, effectiveness, superiority, and independence. Men and women hold diverse traits and roles to take part in modern society. The majority of people conform to those roles very early on, but sometimes the line fogs between femininity and masculinity. Discuss in the past, men and women normally had their specific roles to accomplish. These conventional gender roles were the norm back then and, to a certain extent, are still perceived today. Men were seen as the breadwinners of the family, from whom the family's main source of income was obtained. Women were in charge of the households. This meant household expenses, a child's upbringing and housekeeping were left to them. Now, however, these gender roles are increasingly being defied. One of this is the media, media is a powerful source of knowledge. In this Modern age media's influences play a significant role in every human's life. Media has done a radical adjustment specifically in dissemination of information at our finger tips. It is said that media is the "mirror of the society" and many of its present products exposed the variety of perception of the society about gender. .
One of those products of media is found and produced by the movie industry. In the American musical comedy movie entitled "Pitch Perfect 2" where in the group of a cappella girls (Barden Bella's) trying to crawl their way back to the public's affection after their performance on President Obama's birthday which disastrously ends with Fat Amy's (Rebel Wilson) awry airlifting solo, that lead them being suspended from performing in any a Cappella Collegiate Level Competition.
