Cultural Policies and History of Italy

 

These laws are extremely beneficial for the population of artists and activists within the country. These laws include copyright, film and television, performing arts and cultural goods, just to name a few. .
             This department was disbanded after World War II and with the break up of this department came the delegation of duties having to do with the cultural policies. The duties were distributed among many different departments within the government, due to the fact that there was not sole department to handle the situations. The "promotion of cultural development" was something that was going to be handled by the department before it was dissolved. This was going to be something that handled the growth of the cultural industry while monitoring and aiding this growth over time, in the best interests of the people of Italy. The support that the department gave to contemporary art was rapidly disappearing and becoming more rare to see. Access to the culture of Italy and the arts was not found very often and something that was reserved only for the lucky and grateful. However, with these new developments, the citizens of Italy turned to new participation in cultural life. This gained a lot of speed as the growth of the film-industry was very popular during this time. After the war, Italy was seen as a country that wanted to start anew on a few things, the film-industry being one of them. As time moved forward and people started looking to the screen for entertainment purposes, and one of the screens slowly became the television. .
             In the 1970's, there was a big turning point for the country as a whole. The fifteen regions of Italy were formally established the the process to spread the rule over the country into municipal states was finally decided. Very high politics were undertaken by the regions in their new way of thinking and way of doing things. The different regions took place in making arguments within the government to enact certain laws that would protect the people and the culture of Italy.
