Each of these dimensions act and interact in a way that contributes to our own quality of life. The Wellness theory peeked researchers' interest when they concluded that in Generation obese the lifestyle factors are bigger contributors to the increase in obesity in modern society, not genetics. .
             It's hard to imagine precisely what is happening, but America is one of the most obese countries in the world, and the reasons are quite obvious. Researchers expressed that the genetically make-up differs in every individual; genetics only provides insight to possible cause of childhood obesity. The increase in the prevalence of obesity, experts indicate that the change in proportion is mostly credited to the disruption of aspects of the Wellness theory. .
             Our experiment originated from our desire to end the epidemic that is silently killing our generation. We wanted to investigate if disruption to any dimension (physical, intellectual, emotional, social, environmental, spiritual or occupational) had a correlation to the spike in the prevalence in childhood obesity in America. The dimensions that apply to children are the emotional, social, environmental, and physical. Ideally, we believe that life experiences shape and define how people view life. When dealing with children, understanding the roles that parents and schools play in children's development is vitally important. Children are like sponges: they will absorb almost everything that is taught to them. Because a bulk of percentage of our children is being exposed to unhealthy habits whether at school or home, the prevalence of obesity in children have increased, leading to this epidemic.   .
             Methodology.
             Childhood obesity is a growing epidemic in the United States especially in the state of South Carolina.
