The Tang high reflected upon the bureaucracy of merit, as reflected by performance on imperial examinations. Recruited government officials from the ranks candidates who had progressed through confusion educational system and had mastered a sophisticated curriculum concentrating on the classic works of chinese literature and philosophy. The confucian educational system and related civil service served Chinese government well that, modifications and occasional interruption disappearing after the collapse of Qing Dynasty. Tang forces brought Manchuria under imperial authority and forced the Silla kingdom to acknowledge tang emperor as overlord. To The south conquered northern part of vietnam, the west as far as Aral Sea and a high amount of Tibet under their control. In 755 a revolt was taken upon by the dynasties for most military commander, An lushan, causing the dynasty to become in a weak state. The Tang imperial house never was able to take control of affairs after this crisis. In 907 the Last Tang Emperor abdicated his throne, causing the end of a dynasty. (pg 378-382). After the Tang collapse, the Song Dynasty was introduced. It approached a centralised imperial government that cause two big problems weakening the dynasty and eventually causing its collapse. the first was financial: as a number of bureaucrats and size of rewards gre, the imperial treasury came under tremendous pressure. The second problem was military: had little military educatio, little talent for its affairs that it was no coincidence that nomadic people bordered throughout the Song Dynasty. (pg 382). .
             Interaction.
             The Grand Canal, one of the worlds largest water work projects before modern times, facilitated trade between northern and southern China, making an abundance supplies of rice and other food crops. The canal was a series of artificial waterways that reached a vast majority throughout China. It extended almost 2,000 kilometers and was forty paces wide, with roads running parallel to the waterway on either side.
