In order to see terrorism as a wrong it must be understood and used in only correct circumstances. One of the most important circumstances is whether or not the act of violence and evil is directed towards civilians. Terrorist organizations reach their goals by creating terror in civilians. In short, terrorism is an evil, used by groups that don't have any political presence, to harm or kill either civilians or groups that are not hostile all to cause fear which they use to attain their goals. So the question is, what makes the war against it justified?.
A pure evil terrorism is, it is a threat to global peace and its security. The powerful countries of this world, most specifically the United States must take charge and eliminate the evils surrounding us. For a country to wage war against terrorism it is believed that there must be a good enough reason. Many times it is for national security, global security, or to aid foreign countries. In the United States case our war against terrorism is an act of revenge. Some may not find this revenge justifiable but indeed it is in many ways. Over twenty-five hundred innocent American civilians died on that tragic morning all because of the evil that resides in terrorists. If nothing is done to take a stand against it then who can say for sure it would not happen again? Evil may not be able to be defeated with evil but with the right leaders and guidance war on terrorism can be justified and it should happen. .
The real war on terrorism began after President George Bush declared war in response to the attacks on September 11th. As stated by the American government, the war should be approached with caution and it should directly deal with those that are guilty and there should be little to no damage collaterally. "The people of the United States and our friends and allies will not live at the mercy of an outlaw regime that threatens the peace with weapons of mass murder.
