Research Paper - Understanding Animal Cruelty

If one thinks about it, a person who commits a crime doesn't have any feelings towards what they are doing. This just shows how easy it is for them to do it without thinking it is wrong or cruel. .
Secondly, Domestic Violence can directly lead to Animal Abuse. To begin ASPCA created a study that showed eleven cities said pet abuse is one out of four most common signals of domestic violence ("Domestic Violence and Animal Abuse"). This states that animal abuse can can lead to domestic violence in some ways. But researchers believe there is a comparison between domestic violence and animal abuse ("Animal Cruelty and Neglect Exposed"). There are many things that connect these two subjects. Domestic Violence has a big impact on Animal abuse and how it is started. For instance, The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence created a test and results showed that females in assault and battery shelters are eleven times more expected to announce animal neglect by their spouse than females not going through cruelty ("Animal Abuse and Neglect Exposed"). This just shows that people who have experienced Domestic Violence are more likely to see Animal Abuse in action. But that isn't the only thing that links Domestic Violence with Animal Abuse. Adding to that the ASPCA sums up that little kids who have came in contact with assault and battery are three times more likely to be abusive to their animals ("Domestic Violence and Animal Cruelty"). If one grows up with abusive parents they are practically expected to do the same when they grow up. That is why researchers believe there is a connection between those two subjects. Tim stated, "I believe that one reason may be that some people have experienced violence themselves at home as kids. This is probably the most common reason for animal abuse" (Tim). This is very interesting because most abuses happen as the kids grow up and follow their parents actions.
