This just shows that people who have experienced Domestic Violence are more likely to see Animal Abuse in action. But that isn't the only thing that links Domestic Violence with Animal Abuse. Adding to that the ASPCA sums up that little kids who have came in contact with assault and battery are three times more likely to be abusive to their animals ("Domestic Violence and Animal Cruelty"). If one grows up with abusive parents they are practically expected to do the same when they grow up. That is why researchers believe there is a connection between those two subjects.
