Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS)

 

            Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is very dangerous disease of the human system caused by infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). There are 60 million people have been infected with HIV/AIDS and more than 20 million people have died of AIDS. According to strict governmental regulation by the ADA act, "Stigma, discrimination and ostracism are the real killers." People living with HIV/AIDS in a place, is a great deal of stigma and discrimination. The basis of discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS is fear, and this fear comes mostly from wrong or distorted information. I am against the marks, discrimination because People who have AIDS, HIV and any other STD; they are part of the society and also they have all human rights that the normal people have. In this paper we have described the ways in which people are stigmatized and discriminated against, the causes and effects of fear, stigma and discrimination, and made recommendations for the future also about the human rights.
             There have been several guidelines, policies and acts approved by the government which stop discrimination against a person with HIV/AIDS in education, the workplace and health care. .
             For example, People living with AIDS/HIV are often discriminated against or stigmatized by their own family members as well as friends and society members. A persons is known to have AIDS/HIV, they might be separated from the other members of the family and society, why?? They would not tell anyone that they have AIDS/HIV because they fear for of being discriminated against in their family, society, workplaces. Whether in business or in personal relationships, people living with HIV/AIDS often experience an unwillingness of others to "invest" in them. The belief that the person will die soon means that many people do not believe it is worth developing a relationship with that person.
