History and Marketing the Coca-Cola Company

 

People boycotted its products since they do not accept an investor who enriches in Vietnam but does not pay tax to Vietnam. Moreover, Coca-Cola also faced to a penalty from the government and the authority will not let it expand business in the locality. Another example is the affection of FDA( Food and Drug Administration) on the Coca-Cola Company. To protect the public health, FDA regulates many Coca-Cola beverage, which contain much sugar and harming vitamin. In term of regulations, the government can set potential fines for the companies if they do not meet the standard law requirement. Thus, it has a negative impact on Coca-Cola Company. .
             Economic depression can be one of the most important factors that influence Coca-Cola Company. During the depression of 2001, consumers changed their behaviour of shopping. They have less money and try to not spend on unnecessary stuff in response to the overall decline in economic. An aggressive movement to turn had been made by the US Government around by 2002. After realizing that loan interest rates would increase when the economic returned, Coca-Cola took out a low-cost loan to fund growth in 2002. They used the money to improve their products and conduct more researches. Nowadays, when the economic condition has recovered and going back to normal now, the beverage industry is thriving and growing rapidly.
             Another factor that has a great influence on the Coca-Cola Company is social, which related to changing in lifestyle and attitude of the consumers. Nowadays, customers from the ages 33-35 tend to change their way of life. Since people at this age are very concern about their health, they reduce in drinking carbonated beverages to prevent obesity or other diseases. In consequence, Coca-Cola demand for carbonated beverages has declined, and their profit also declined. As a solution to increase the revenues, Coca-Cola Company has to come up with new kind of diet drink.
