The Save the Children Organization

[ CITATION Sav15 l 1055 ].
When we come to the history of this organization, from 1919 to 1977, there have been many efforts for the wealth of children but, firstly in 1977 many countries decided to be partners for developing the life conditions of children as the first international and global organization for children. Then, in 1989 the Convention for the Rights of Children was revised and designed again by The United Nations General Assembly. With this, 194 countries accepted this convention legally. During 2004-2009 "Save the Children" organization carried out a very big support for the children who were damaged and injured because of the Indian Ocean Tsunami. This was the sign that this organization really works for the sake of children and it tries to do its best for the all children over the world. Also this tsunami showed that this organization made people aware of children and showed that people donated so much for children. When we come to 2009, the organization started a campaign which is called as EVERY ONE. [ CITATION Sav151 l 1055 ] .
This campaign aimed to hinder newborns from dying because of preventable causes and attitudes of the societies. For example, this campaign aimed to hinder black babies from being seen inferior to the white ones and to show the black babies do not deserve to die just because they are black. This EVERY ONE campaign is the biggest global campaign for children over the world. The "EVERY ONE" attributes the situation and conditions of children die immediately as when they are born and the conditions of children who grow in need poorly to racism, discrimination, poverty or poor life standards. Accordingly, the launchers of the campaign finds the governments, societies, people, (private) institutions guilty from dying newborns and the poor conditions of the children seen belong to the prior classes of the society. The launchers of this campaign want the all politicians, organizations, citizens to be aware of the situation and to give a hand to the children which are in need.
