We spent the class period just sitting quietly. The class was working on a lab that we had already done in our last school. Soon, a sweet feminine type of bell rang, and girls of all ages poured out into the hallways. Since classes were shorter, there wasn't a break between 2nd and 3rd period like in our last school. I, being a somewhat know-it-all, had thrown away our map of the campus thinking I could commit everything to memory. Heidi and I ended up lost. We walked around for what seemed like ages, and ended up in the theatre. Inside the building, a campus map was displayed. It turns out that our next class, held in the ballroom, was on the other side of school. Wow. Way to go Amara, this is going to be a very long walk.
"Are you serious?! By the time we get there 3rd period will be over. Amara this is your entire fault! You should've listened to me!" Heidi yelled frustrated.
"I thought we were going the right way! Ugh, fine. I'm sorry, you were right and I was wrong." I hated admitting I was wrong. "Let's go then, we should probably just go the cafeteria for lunch." As soon as I finished speaking, the theatre's temperature dropped. The room felt eerie and the lights flickered on and off. You hear the door hinges creaking, and something brushed past my arm. I screamed. "Oh my god Heidi, something touched me," My voice urgent and afraid.
"Amara you're scaring me." She whimpered. "Can we just go?".
Heidi had already started speed-walking out of the theatre, so I rushed after her. I didn't want to be left alone in somewhere possibly haunted.
Something was definitely in the theatre with Heidi and I. I felt it, mentally, physically, and emotionally. The presence was strong and something that couldn't be ignored. I eventually forgot about it. But then, two days later, it spoke to me.

If somebody asked me how my day was going today, I would say it was going pretty well.
