Canadian Oil Sand

 

            Oil sands is a naturally occurring mixture of sand, clay or other minerals, water and bitumen, which is a heavy and extremely viscous oil that must be treated before oil sands can be used by refineries to produce usable fuels such as gasoline and diesel(Alberta energy: What is oil sand). It can create a lot of jobs for citizens and an income for the Canada government each year. So with the improved mining processes, Canadian oil sands will continue to have significant economic benefits for Canadian. .
             Everyone who lives in Canada knows that jobs are not easy to find and Canada has a pretty high rate of losing jobs, but the oil sands have created a lot of jobs for Canadians. Oil sands can create 5 types of positions: maintenance, in situ, mining, pipelines, and upgrade. Oil sands are related to the total Canadian employment (direct, indirect and induced). As a result of construction of new projects and the operation of new and existing projects, the Canadian employment is expected to continue growing from the current level (2014) of 514,000 jobs to a peak of 802,000 jobs in 2028 (Alberta Energy: Facts and Statistics). Oil sands create a lot more job opportunities for people that don't have a job to try out. Jobs that created by oil sands have reduce the rate of people losing their jobs and for people that is looking for a job that have a high income oil sand worker will also be a choice for them. Oil sands will also be a good choice for a student to choose for their university subject to study for, so they could use their knowledge to help the oil sands have a better ways to mine and reduce the damage to the environment. Oil sands create a lot of jobs, and one of them is improving the ways how we can collect oil sands, so we don't damage the environment as much as before.
