Business Product and Service Launch

Product or service releasing can be one of the most exciting experiences in the world of marketing and business. The aspect of product launching and release contains little pieces and steps that should be all combined in order to achieve success. As the project manager one needs to plan ahead, do some more homework on the market and very important is to execute all the plans in a well-organized manner. This sounds easy but in reality it's not as easy as it sounds. Managing a product launch is not an easy task and the steps should be adhered to.
The first and most important step for a successful product release is to do a thorough market research for a while, let's say for a year. The research conducted should be both primary and secondary. Most companies ignore this crucial step but as a project manager this step should never be ignored. As the project manager understanding the market before the product release is crucial. The aspects that should be considered are competition, challenges, threats, opportunity and weaknesses in that particular market. A product cannot just be manufactured and thrown into the market and expect consumers just to like it without knowing what they are getting into. The major mistake that the project manager can do in this step is to conduct a secondary research through the internet, analyst reports and other publication reports. You have to hear what your consumers have to say about the product you are just about to release.
Having an effective product launch team is similarly very important. Marketing the product is a serious activity so a team formed for just this purpose is very effective. The team does it better than just marketing the product as whole. Having a team to do the product release is considered a wise strategy, in fact its big strategy. The team will ensure a comprehensive launch so as the manager you should effectively monitor their work at all the times.
