Biography of Mother Teresa

 

            Mother Teresa (Agnes Bojaxiu) was born on August 26th 1910 and died on September 5th 1997 in Calcutta India. She was born an grew up in Uskub, Ottoman Empire, today it is known as Skopje and is the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. Mother Teresa's Role Models and a bit about her Philosophy of Service, Mother Teresa's Philosophy of Service was that "No one should be forgotten".
             When asked where she found the strength and perseverance to place herself completely at the service of others or what influenced her philosophy of service she stated "I found it in prayer and in the silent contemplation of Jesus Christ, his Holy Face, his Sacred Heart." Her work was to bring souls to God and God to souls, thereby satiating Christ's thirst, especially for those in need, she did this by serving those who had nothing.
             Mother Teresa's Most Significant Accomplishment in Service, Mother Teresa's most significant accomplishment in service was when she received a call within a call from God. After much prayer and planning she founded and established the "Missionaries of Charity. "The Missionaries of Charity's primary task was to love and care for those persons nobody was prepared to look after. Mother Teresa's biggest influence in her experience of service was Dranafile, her mother, her firm belief and attitude to religion is what greatly influenced Agnes' (Mother Teresa) character and future vocation. A pious and compassionate woman, she instilled in Agnes a deep commitment to charity, which was further affirmed by her involvement in the Jesuit parish of the Sacred Heart.
