" read the invitation addressed to him from his neighbor. He just got off his late night from work. John checked his mailbox every day, for the past 5 years; at the same time. He never received anything inviting him anywhere, until March 11th. John would work for days at a time without any break, as a result John never had a social life. He read the invitation and pondered "Why now after so many years?" He read on, while sipping his English tea, "to a dinner party at Nicole's manor on the evening of March 12th at Seven O'clock." T he invite was dated for the following night. He recalls thinking "what could possibly go wrong?" as he convinces himself as to why he should attend since he has never met Nicole. John figured he would just sleep on it, so he tossed the invitation on his nightstand and headed to bed. .
The next morning John woke up and noticed the invitation on his nightstand. The rumors about Nicole were somewhat disturbing, however, no one knew if all the stories about her were true. He heard she was an exceedingly beautiful woman with black hair, blue eyes and approximately 5'4 with a very distinct scar on her face . The exact story behind it is controversial. Rumor has it she risked her life trying to save someone from a fire and a metal rod fell and burned her face resulting in a scar. Why after five years was this invitation here? This is what puzzled John. John himself was not on the high class, he was just a regular guy, who barely made ends meet. John read on "This invitation has been sent to you due to Nicole's interest in you, and would like your company." The invitation went on to say dress attire "Please do not wear clothes that contain white, black, or blue. Refrain from unnecessary accessories such as watches, hats, canes, etc. Hope to see you then!" This was the first invitation John had ever received; he thought the rules were preposterous. John did not have the proper attire for this elegant occasion.
