A Never-Ending Friendship

Throughout high school there were rumors spread about me, and since Royce was the loyal friend she was she never automatically believed the rumors were true instead she confronted me about the rumors to see if they were accurate. This situation showed her loyalty because Royce never assumed and kept things one hundred percent truthful even if it were a possibility of hurting my feelings. Loyalty can mean that someone has your back when no one else does, in this situation Royce had my back. Whenever one is going through life problems they have encountered, he/she is ensured they have someone to turn to for comfort. With loyalty I've learned it is easy to be loyal when things are going good in life but the true test of loyalty is during times of trouble. During the course of me and Royce's friendship our loyalty has been tested and tried but because of our consistent strive to be loyal it created what our friendship is today. .
             As humans we form meaningful friendships with people we get along with and sincerely want to be around. The second criteria that is necessary in a true friendship is common interests. This trait bonds friendships together closer than people think. Every now and then there is that one friend one might have no common interests with but for the most part everyone's main cluster of friends have a wide variety of common interests. Common interests play an important role in maintaining a good friendship. Although friends are not going to agree or like everything the same but common interests does cause for less disagreements and arguments that could possibly break the friendship apart. Common interests can be music, food, humor, and much more. For instance, Royce and I biggest common interests are music and our sense of style. Our favorite common artist is Drake, and because of this common interest we were able to go to the Drake concert together last year and create a lifelong memory.
