My Experience with Exercise

What does it meant to be a healthy? Some may define being healthy as eating right, taking daily vitamins, and getting enough sleep. I personally define being healthy as living a stress-free life and exercising, as well as eating right, taking daily vitamins, and getting enough sleep. Everybody has stress, and ways of relieving it whether it's counting to ten, talking to someone, or even just listening to music. Relieving stress is something that I wasn't very good at until a little over a year ago, when I found that exercise worked perfectly for me. Over the past year, exercising daily has led me to change the way I perceive myself emotionally, physically, and mentally. .
Exercising helps me emotionally because it allows me to get everything off of my chest at the end of the day. Sometimes exams, tests, or even school in general can be very stressful. With all of the stress built up inside, it can often times be very hard to concentrate on the task at hand. When I initially started working out, I was going through a breakup and it made it very easy to go out to the treadmill everyday and run for a good half hour or so. After a nice hardworking exercise, it is usually easier for me to concentrate on the next thing, because I feel accomplished. I use exercise as a tool to help get me through the day. If I have any conflict with someone or anything happens, I just reach into my toolbox and get to work. Exercise has helped me perceive myself differently emotionally, because it has led me to be more stable than I use to be. In the past, if I was having a bad day, I would have to talk to someone to help me get through whatever the situation was. Since then, I have learned that there are not always going to be people there for me to talk to, and sometimes you have to figure out how to deal with things on your own. Exercising is my way of getting through those things on my own. .
Exercise has also helped me out a lot physically by making me look better, making me more confident in myself, and making me feel better.
