Alternate Ending to Iphigenia

Every living object on this Earth is ultimately destined to die at some point. Whether it be a plant, a deer, or a human, its life will certainly come to an end. This is the circle of life, as some would describe it. When one object dies on this earth, there is room for another to be born. Sometimes the situation will be out of will, but that is not the case with me. My fate was pretty much decided to end in a very unfortunate matter, and my father would be the reason behind it. As much of a sad, miserable tale this may sound, I graciously acknowledged it. I indeed accepted this fate. My name is Iphigenia from Mycenae and in order to tell my story properly, I must start from the very beginning. .
It was about a month before the disturbing news had been heard. Helen, King Menelaus's wife, ran away with Paris, a Trojan citizen. King Menelaus was my father, King Agamemnon's, brother. When he learned about this surprising news, nothing held my father and his brother back into invading Troy. Both wanted to seek revenge and re-establish honor within our family name. And so they began their war journey to Troy to achieve their goals. On their way to the city of Troy the Greek army, including my father and uncle, stopped in Aulis. Running low on food and other vital supplies, my father decided to hunt in the woods. There he sought a deer roaming around. It was very big and looked like it had a good amount of meat, as well as fur, to keep the men full and warm. My father's next decision will forever change all of our lives, including mine. He attacked the deer from behind and killed the animal in one swipe of a motion with his knife. It was only known afterwards that the deer was an absolute favorite of Artemis, the goddess of fertility and hunt. When she learned about this tragic news, Artemis had stopped the current of the winds. Therefore, the army ships had no way of sailing to Troy. Artemis had stated that the only solution to fixing this was for my father to sacrifice his eldest daughter, me.
