That Cute Coffee Shop is a business that sells coffee and sweet treats. It's a small scale bakery plus coffee shop for locals. This will be a place to come hangout, work, and study while enjoying coffee. It will be a partnership with Abby Brindley as 75-25 percent ownership. I will own the 75% in this business. The opening date is set for June 1, 2018. We will be located in the town square at 105 South Main Street. Our immediate goals are to secure the location and work on getting inventory. We have 30,000 in the bank for this project. We will need to raise more for buying the building, renovations, and product. .
Industry Analysis .
The café and coffee shop industry has experienced a healthy level of growth over the past decade. The U.S. Economic Census estimates that there are over 190,000 individual cafes and coffee shops (selling both coffee products and coffee beverages) in the United States. This growth gives security for opening this business, especially since we don't have anything of the sort in Franklin right now. The competition is limited to fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, and Wendy's. The shop won't have the fast food feel providing something different for our customers. .
Target Market .
The market for Coffee has grown in the past several years. This would cater to young people needing a place to hangout, to writers and others in the working class. We hope to cater to the community around us with a goal of making everyone feel welcome. We really want to target the working class and college students. Caffeine to power you up as you do late night crunch work or a good place to get things done. With the market growing and on the rise we feel like That Cute Coffee Shop could go far. In a small town the market will be smaller but as the word spreads business could come from Bowling Green area. .
Competition .
Our biggest competitors would be fast food restaurants that sell generic coffee.
