Romeo and Juliet

This story is clearly about love as the whole tragedy in the story begins and ends with love. Love, is a most complex, powerful and dangerous emotion. Although a lot of people die, they are dying for their love or to help a loved one in need. There is a lot of hatred in the play, but I feel that love is really the main focus. .
Most of what the do and how they act is affected by love for another character. At the beginning of the play you see Romeo lovesick and very unhappy because he is in love with Rosaline and she does not love him. He goes off on his own to "sulk". Benvolio tries to cheer him up because he loves him but Romeo does not wish to talk about the subject. Benvolio is worried for Romeo and talks to Romeo's father about how Romeo loved Rosaline and now he is lovesick. However this lovesick Romeo completely changes to a Romeo madly in love with a girl he has only just seen, and never met. Romeo falls deeply in love with Juliet and he is determined to meet her and once he does he tells her she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. Romeo is so happy and so in love he commits himself to seeing her whenever he can and even sneaks into her garden area to be with her. .
Each character has a different kind of love for another character and they love in different ways. Romeo and Juliet's parents love their children and care for them. They want the best for their kids and try to help them out as much as possible. Benvolio is very loyal and he is very thoughtful to others. Benvolio loves Romeo and is loyal to him; he wouldn't want anything to happen to Romeo. Juliet's love to Romeo is very strong. She is so loyal to Romeo that she chooses to love him still, even though Romeo killed Tybalt. She even sees Romeo dead and knows he has drunk poison and she kills herself because she could not live without him. The friar is very understanding, he helps marry Romeo and Juliet so they can be together and he knows it is against the law but he hopes to resolve the families" conflict.
