             According to his peers, Adolf was easily angered as a boy. Both his father's abuse and an unstable home negatively impacted Adolf Hitler from an early age. When Adolf was 9 years old, it looked like he was beginning to turn is life away and he was even showing signs of happiness. But then tragedy struck in the Hitler household. Adolf's brother Edmund died of the measles at age 6. This is a major event that left impressionable young Adolf shaken. If all this was not enough, Edmund was buried in a cemetery that Adolf could see through his bedroom window. So every day he was reminded of pain he felt over the loss of his beloved brother. When he came of the age of career choosing, Adolf wanted to pursue art. In his recent years of school, he became increasingly interested in drawing and painting. Adolf's father had always wanted him to pursue a technical or engineering career. So when Adolf broke the news that he wanted to pursue art to his father, it resulted in a permeant and bitter struggle between father and son (Patrick, 2006). .
             After distancing himself from his father, Adolf lived with his mother for a few years and then decided to focus on a career by applying to various academies. While living in Vienna, Hitler applied to the school of his dreams; The Vienna Academy of Art. This is where he hoped to begin a career as an artist. He was quite upset when he learned he did not get into this prestigious academy. After that, Adolf cultivated his options and decided architectural design would be a good field to pursue given his drawing skills. Unfortunately for him, Adolf also got denied from this academy. At this point, Adolf Hitler had hit rock bottom. He could not find a viable career option that he had the skill set for. With no job and morale very low, Adolf struggled to survive is the bustling city of Vienna. It is during this period of poverty in which Adolf became well versed in politics.
