Night

This book was written by Elie Wiesel.
Elie Wiesel came from a Jewish family who lived during the Holocaust. Night tells about his family and what they went through during this time. Elie was a serious boy that loved his family and didn't want anything to happen to them. He would do anything to not be separated from his father at the concentration camps. He always looked after his father and made sure he got everything he needed and did everything hhe told him to do. .
Elie also doubted God. While everyone else would pray and ask God to help them, Elie would sit back and wonder why God let the Nazis do this. Why were all these people discriminated against for being Jewish and what did they do to deserve this, he would always wonder. In the beginning, he believed in God and just wondered about it but then towards the middle of the book, Elie just totally lost all faith in Him because he thought that God didn't love them anymore and wanted to punish them for something that they didn't know they had done.
He always tried his best to look after the well being in his friends and family. He tried to do what he could so that they would survive and be with him. Elie also brought out the best in people and tried to inspire them to do things that needed to be done. He never gave up, he always thought that someone would come and free the Jews of the Nazis and that him and his dad would get through this time and go home where he would be with his family again. He was calm, peaceful, helpful, and an overall good guy when you needed him. .
