But if Suu Kyi stays in Burma then she might not see her family again. The Lady is an excellent movie to watch for many reasons.
The first reason is because the movie depicts accurately the series of events that happened to Suu Kyi when she fought for democracy in Burma. The purpose of this is film is to inform other people about what happen to Suu Kyi while she was fighting for her country politically. For example, "riots on the street of Rangoon," broke out because the military started to slaughter protesters who were rallying against the harsh rule of the dictator U Ne Win. Also the military started to kill people because they wanted to put pressure on Suu Kyi and make her leave the country. "If you do not leave more people will die." Instead of leaving Suu Kyi began to speak out against U Ne Win for the human rights and democracy of the people. This shows that the people who made this film did a lot of research to get the story right and that is important because the authenticity of Suu Kyi's story contributes to history. Suu Kyi's story is another example of how people can cause change. .
Another reason why this film is a good movie to watch is because of the acting.
