Pit Bull Training reinstates the fact that the humans make the dogs aggressive and it is not their nature to be aggressive. .
             Not only is there a variation in where the American pit bull terrier came from but also in what breeds joined to make them. According to the, "American Pit Bull Terrier Overview" webpage on the Petwave website, the Staffordshire bull terrier was developed in England from a cross of the old style English bulldog and other assorted terriers. There is a lot of debate and many different opinions on which types of terriers were mixed with the bulldog to create the Staffordshire bull terrier, but most suggestions are the White English Terrier, the Black and Tan Terrier and the Fox Terrier contributing to the mix. The Staffordshire terrier came to the United States in the mid-1800s and became known as the American pit bull terrier (n.d.). Petwave introduces the mix of other breeds with the English bulldog to form the American pit bull.
             Pit bulls have many likeable aspects that they consist of. The "United Kennel Club" webpage of the Real Pit Bull website says the American pit bull terrier is a loving breed by nature. They say strength and confidence are the basic characteristics of the pit bull. The pit bull is a breed that loves all people and is great for families. The strong physical appearance of the pit bull does scare some people away from owning or even approaching them. It is a friendly dog and is usually okay with other animals. They require an owner who has knowledge of the pit bulls traits because they must be socialized and have obedience training. Fencing is a must since the pit bull is a great climber and is great at jumping because of its lower body strength (2008). The United Kennel Club gives the characteristics that make the pit bull a loving, family dog. They show the nature that many people may never see in the pit bull. Also the "American Pit Bull Terrier Overview" says that pit bulls are loving and loyal dogs.
